Kirk Dailey has spent his career working with companies across the globe to creatively solve problems and navigate the complex business challenges in intellectual property management. With more than 20 years of licensing experience in information, technology and communications companies, he has seen that there must be a transformation in patent licensing that will provide the industry with more collaboration and efficiency. This is what drew Kirk to Marconi and its vision of a new way forward in patent licensing and ultimately was the foundation thinking in creating Innovius.
As President of Innovius, Kirk has created a platform that connects innovators with product manufacturers and provides a streamlined licensing environment that removes complexities and risks. Most recently, Kirk led Patent Transactions for Google where he created and led the team focused on strategic cross licensing and community-based licensing solutions. During this time, he formed many strategic relationships with global partners and played a vital role in the sale of Motorola Mobility to Lenovo. In the past Kirk led licensing for Motorola Mobility, reorganizing and rebuilding the licensing business to generate revenue and, ultimately, packaging the portfolio as a substantial part of the $12 billion acquisition of Motorola by Google.
Kirk holds a Juris Doctor from DePaul University, a Certificate in European Legal Studies from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
